    80% 1911 Frames

ok.. we know KY Ordanance has 80% 1911 frames but I don't like the front rail or the finger groove on the grip. So... does anyone make a regular style 80% 1911 frame? I have googled but noting comes up but regular 100% frames that we can;t get here.

It takes a milling machine to finish one of those 80%. Worst case you could just remove the groove and possibly the rail yourself.

I think there are some caspian lowers or some name like that out there too. I think they looked more standard 1911.

      There are also these: http://winecountryweapons.webs.com/a...s/show/1744913

but they are raw castings and will require a good deal more work than the KTO's. Unfortunately they are sold out right now but keep watching.

Maybe we can convince Nathan at Tactical Machining to make some......

Q: Does Caspian offer 80% frames?
              A: NO

              right out of the FAQ
they do however sell frames/slides with basicly no work done to them... and custom serial numbers for $50... just cant get them in CA without jumping through hoops...
