One can sell a home built firearm so long as it's marked per BATFE standards. It will be logged into existence when it's sold. No need to register it before then.
BTW: you should be building it for your own use (one of the stipulations of a home build is it needs to be for personal use).Comment

Yep that is the one. I would recommend putting down single shot (since that is how it was built I assume). Did you stamp (or laser etch to .003" depth) the proper items on it: serial #, model #, manufacturer (your name)?
Fern, I had that same question come up when I registered mine, I would have preferred not to but since it is an AR pistol and not all LEO's know the laws I just didn't want to go through the hassle of having it confiscated while the LEO and DA decide if they are going to deem it legal. If it is registered then they won't have that much to say (or do).Gun control is a 1" group at 500 yds!Comment

i cant see to find the corresponding number on the link that you provided that justifies a tax stamp for a home built ar pistol?Comment

No tax stamp (unless a stock is attached) which then it becomes a SBR which is illegal in PRK.Gun control is a 1" group at 500 yds!Comment

Once again I can't believe someone on this board has manufactured a firearm without already knowing the applicable law....
Enjoy your new weapon, send a letter to the president, the CADOJ, the FBI, the CIA, and the BATF.....that should cover your bases...."Cum catapultae proscriptae erunt tum soli proscripti catapultas habebunt."

The same could be said about a rifle. But, I see your point and have gone through the same thought process with a different result.Yep that is the one. for one you can not build with the intent to ever sell it, and your posts seem to imply that intent at a later date .....
for two you dont have to have a "registered" pistol to sell it, all on my pistols i bought way back and not one is "registered" and i can sell any of them any time i want
for three you dont have to mark it at all , but i would just in case of theft if you ever want it recovered ...Originally posted by Ronald ReaganBefore I refuse to take your questions, I have an opening statement.Comment
