How far does that extend past the end of the receiver?
I'm trying to build a Polish Underfolder and want to know how long of a muzzle device I will need to maintain my 30 OAL with the stock folded.
Thanks.SteveComment

Well I thought I was done nit-picking..
Cleaned the top cover and degreased the crap out of it to try something new for the finish:
Degreased:

POR-15 Chassis Coat Black: UV stabilized, chip resistant, oil/chemical resistant:

Sprayed top cover:

Its not overly glossy, and builds really well. Next, I'll degrease the receiver and give it a shot of this stuff as well. I'll be taping everything off except for the receiver itself before I spray. Full cure is 24 hours, and when I've used this stuff on truck frames in the past, its durable as can be and retains its black color very well even with road garbage being thrown at it constantly.
I'm really glad that I left the patina on the bolt and piston assembly. Its going to look much better not parked. Now trusted by 34 out of 50 US States, except for that which is my home...

The shine on that Mosin makes me think of the M1's the USMC silent drill platoon uses. Came out awesome.CERTIFIABLE RIMFIRE JUNKIE.Originally posted by MrPlinkwhat guitar would you recommend for SHTF?
I think I would go with a Telecaster. The bolt on neck would be the strongest to deal with terrorist zombies. I know most folks will say Strat, but I think the trem system is unreliable.
I mean, who needs to dive bomb when SHTF? That only happens in movies.

Thanks! I worked my butt off on my M44, and I'm pleased with it.
Here's the thread that I started when I was working on it:
