Ah, I see we have a build party expert. You may have "helped build a few hundred" . . . I have ACTUALLY built a few hundred on my own.
Anyway, how do you reconcile the fact that none of the half dozen builds (mostly 74's and a couple AKM's) I've done on the newest style ak-builder flat have needed ejector tip modification? I put them together and there is ZERO interference with the bolt anywhere.I hate people that are full of hate.
It's not illegal to tip for PPT!Comment

well, wouldn't the fact that those ejectors are made to "74" specs mean that those 74's that you build shouldn't need any modification to begin with? So it would just be the "couple AKM's" that might need modification?Jack
Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

First part: Yup. Sorry for having "some" experience.Ah, \I see we have a build party expert. You may have "helped build a few hundred" . . . I have ACTUALLY built a few hundred on my own.

Second part: I would really like to see a collection of a "few hundred" of your own!
Third part: You were not specific to 74's. Matter of fact, I've even had to file a few hair's off for some 74's too. Either way, being a build party expert, or a sit at home and build expert, or a professional, experience is experience period.
Also, ak builder flats come with one size ejector, I just can't figure out how a 74 would have the same size ejector as a 47?
I was adding my .02, that's all.
Hey Drickle, I'm not trying to come off as a d#@k, sorry if that's how it looks. No disrespect.sigpic

Did the same thing myself except I recognized the problem before I welded the rails on. Luckily I had an extra set of rails just in case.

Umm...Drickel's been around here for a while bro. I wouldn't doubt he's built a metric assload of rifles.
*edit*That said, some ejector trimming is frequently required. Even on the fancy new ak-builder flats and sometimes new builders get a little carried away. We've had to do some reconstruction from time to time. No big deal. Zap it, grind it, torch it, and forget it.Last edited by tujungatoes; 08-04-2011, 9:20 PM.sigpicOriginally posted by Dr. ElkyIf your a man who wears white sunglasses, your probably a douche bagOriginally posted by CSACANNONEERI've been know to cross dress and go the other way at certain events.Comment
