    ar15 LPK help

I just got a new spikes stripped lower and i cannot get the bolt catch plunger and spring to function properly. when the spring is installed, the plunger will not depress. without the spring, it fits fine, but doesnt do its job. I guess i can saftly say that the hole in the receiver is too small. any ideas how I might be able to open it up a hair more.

Are you sure you didn't mix up the disconnector spring with the bolt hold open spring?

If your actual problem is a shallow hole in the receiver, I'd trim the plunger a bit, although I've never seen this problem.

You Gould try taking a drill bit that is a few thousands over because I have seen them with a little bit of burrs around the edge which would prevent the bolt catch plunger from moving freely in it's hole

No further comment from OP= it was the wrong spring.
