Driving I5N to meet up with ZMeFly but while in Fresno, me & my family witnessed a major car accident. Toyota Camry slammed into semi, tried to help out with bunch of good samaritan only to find out that the guy was decapitated. Even with my ER training & ICU experience, I can't do anything. Poor guy we can't even help him. We left after the cops came in. What a tragedy......

Sad day when you have to witness something like that.
I have been in your shoes brother. Came across 2 guys that froze to death on the canopy of their flipped Hobie Cat in the bay one morning. Seems they were out late, flipped it, and stuck the mast in the mud of the bay floor (near Berkley pier). Like you wanted to help but knew it was too late for them. Waved down another boat (that had a radio), and stayed until Coast Guard arrived.
Things like this happen, and when you come on the scene too late there is nothing you can do.

Only goes to show ya ... You need to enjoy every moment of your life, especially with all the people that matters to you !!! Oh, and all the toys that matters to you too .....

Yeah I know what you mean but when your kids asked you, did you save the guys life? It's kinda hard to respond to that on 10-6 & 4 y/o kid when they think your Superman and save everybody.....just venting out...

Perhaps it's a good time to let them know that you may be fantastic but like everyone else you're only human, and sometimes there is nothing anyone can do.
I remember that talk with my own daughter (on a much more mundane subject but same idea of "Daddy is superman, and can fix anything!").
Glad in hindsight that I was (and always will be) honest with her about things I have learned or experienced in life.

Yeah. That's right. Thanks brother. Since Im in SF, Hopefully everything should be OK too since the Verdict came out about the incident with the cop in the Bay area.
