Need help parkerizing / borrow a stainless pan

I am doing a build, and am almost done. I am getting ready to parkerize. I have found some solution, but I need a stainless pan to do it in. anyone in OC or near by have a parkerizing trey?

Go to a thrift shop or a kitchen supply store and you will find what you need for under 20 bucks

If you were in the san jose area, I could give you some thing maybe 20" long but not 36". for the money, you couldnot get a sheet metal shop to make you one for $90, and the seller has a point about nra etc imho

That's almost exactly the same tank I bought from the same guy (mine is a 40"). Great guy to deal with. The tank works great. No leaks so far after using it a half dozen times.

There's all sorts of containers you can use but I believe the best thing about the one mentioned that's from freonr22 is it's long and narrow and deep. You don't have to use/heat any more solution than necessary. I've tried submersible heaters in plastic containers and that's okay for preheating parts but it never got hot enough for parking.

I have a neighbor that has a 3' piece of 16" duct that is scrap, we are going to make a 1/2 pipe out of it and wield ends on it with legs to put it over my 2 burner camp stove... that's if I can't find something I can borrow

you guys are funny! I went and bought a hot plate at walmart, less than $20. and a Teflon lined loaf pan for $4. I found it was too hard to control temperature with the BBQ. All i have been doing are pistols. For long guns I plan on using galvanized rain gutter and silicone the end caps in place. Btw I use an infrared thermometer from sears, drop in the parts at about 180.
The cheap teflon pans start to get cruddy after a few uses so I toss it and get another, the gutter costs about $20 for 10 feet end caps are $2 each.

You didn't mention what parts you're trying to park: barrel only, barrel with receiver, handgun, small parts?

I have a tank that's long/wide enough to take a barreled FAL receiver (about 36" overall), but the drawback is it takes about 2-3 gallons of solution to submerge the parts.

If that sounds like something you can work with, shoot me a PM. I'm in Long Beach area.

Just picked up a 23" stainless steel fish poacher at a garage sale for a buck. Not quite long enough for an AK receiver with barrel, but long enough for any rifle receiver.
