Compliance parts in the kits? Yeah that would be a plus.

I think it was just the parts kits with barrels that were drying up. I thought there were plenty of parts kits with cut barrels. Now that someone is making US barrels there will prob be plenty of parts kits in the future. What would be ideal would be a complete rommy g kit with cut barrel and a US barrel thrown in with the package . There is just something though that doesnt sit right with me with the "Get a GREAT DEAL, thats right i said GREEEAAAT DEAAAL on the stuff that we messed up on and if you call in the next 15 minutes we will even give you a barrel thats allready pressed into the trunion...(small print) **warning 99.9% will have to be pressed back out and re pressed in***

Are the barrels threaded for a brake on these?

I got mine today, nice kit overall, If I ever build it it will be wearing an East German stockset I have. they did a crappy job of packing it, it was just tossed in a box and filled with foam peanuts. the gas piston looks like it has already been replaced. I need to figure out if the rear sight is canted like the AK forum posters. stockset was alright, it would clean up ok, no black band on the buttstock. it came with the auto sear trip, not that it does me any good.

And what's the score with the barrel? Is it a US barrel in the white fitted to the trunnion, gas block & FSB?

Barrel is US made, fitted (although there may be some canting to the front sight and/or gas blocks) and appears to have a black finish. My guess is that the completed unit was finished and then failed final QC so it was de-milled and is being sold as a parts kit.

In exchange for fixing their errors you are getting a kit for a good price with a new US made barrel and maybe some compliance parts.

Anybody looking to get some of these I have 2 that are coming and I would like to sell them at cost so I can build some AK74 kits instead. Let me know if you are interested, I can deliver at the Nor Cal build party.

if the Rear sight block is canted how involved is it to fix it, this seems like the only dilemma in purchasing these, i mean i understand re drilling and using a new pin but how would you do that without the drill bit going everywhere. Also if headspace is an issue, how do you adjust it on an AK, ive built a kit before, so im familiar, but only with all matching number parts. thanks Gary
