If you are going to go through the expense (and I mean EXPENSE $$) of converting a mauser to a sporter, then you should build something that you cannot easily buy at a gun store. Maybe a classic mauser cartridge 9.3x62 would be nice. I am a fan of Elmer Keith so I built a 338-06. It is a hammer to say the least! Hard hitting and great balistics with 338 cal bullets.
