Need help w/ an AR build

    Hi...
I bought a kit a while back, upper is built, lower isn't. I never finished the build. I am just getting around to it. Unfortunately, I don't have much time or tools to assemble it. Wondering if any of you are willing to work with me in one afternoon. In hindsight, I should have just gotten a pre-built one.

Upper is pre-built. I just need to finish up the lower and we should be good to go. I started on some assembly already, ~ 10% done.

    TIA!

There are no less than a million videos on how to assemble a lower. Since you say you're about 10% done, what seems to be holding you up? One of us can probably walk you through it.

        Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Its fairly straight forward, the hardest part is knowing what the parts are. Some of the smaller springs and detents are hard to distinguish from each other.

Make sure you have a clean workspace, preferably in a corner, and working in an area without a carpet floor. Well lit is also important. Take your time, and assume any spring powered detent will fly across the room. If you are prepared for it, it seems to happen a lot less often. At armory school, we used to call it "Praying to the small parts gods", on your hands and knees wondering how it flew so far.

An empty, open Amazon box placed a foot or two from where you're inserting springs and detents makes this time honored tradition obsolete.

The lower is fairly simple. I literally built my first in my lap. Just used a 2x4 wood block on a table to support the trigger guard ear to put in the pin with a hammer. Pivot pin detent was a pain too. Not sure how many times I launched that around my bedroom, lol
"It is currently CA legal to modify a double-action revolver into a single-action revolver and modify a single-action revolver into a double-action revolver.

CA DOJ BOF stance on modifying handguns only applies to dimensionally compliant bolt-action single-shot pistols and dimensionally compliant break-open single-shot pistols.
^It does not apply to revolvers, manually operated repeating pistols, and semi-auto pistols." ~~ Quiet

The lower is super simple. Just need some punches, black tape and youtube.
