I still have the goofy garbage disposal wrench that came in the box.

I own a window screen replacement roller.

With little investigation, My garage would produce dozens of task specific tools.

My Blue-Point Ball Peen hammer that originally belonged to my Grandfather who aquired it around 1930, maybe as early as 1925. It was used by my Dad, a mechanic, for years and was then handed down to me. It is great to use a tool that has a handle stained with grease from my Grandfather's and my Dad's hands. It is used ONLY for peening, nothing else.

I also love to use my vintage SnapOn TORQOMETER 3/8" drive inch pound dial torque wrench. It is great for transmission pan and oil pan bolt torquing. It too came from Grandpa ti Dad to me and was likely purchased in the early to mid 1930s.

For task specific tools, the ones I made myself because nobody else even makes them.

Looks like part of a refrigerant valve core remover that allows you to remove a Schrader core and still keep the system closed.

My 10mm open end wrench has proven to be the tool I miss the most; because I can never find it when required.

same concept and the closest anyone has ever got - figures it would be Randall

it's an idle adjustment tool for the PT pump on Cummins 855 big cam III engines

can be done without it but you have to shut the engine off between adjustments because the screw is inside the pump behind a sealed plug

with this tool, you can make adjustments while engine is running because the ferrule nut seals the fuel inside while the access plug is out
I started out with nothing - and I still have most of it

I don't have a lot of tools that only do one specific thing but I do like my " OBDLink LX OBD2 Bluetooth Scanner for Android and Windows" and it only does one job. But it can do it on Any car that it can plug into, so almost all cars in America made after 1996.
It's easy to use, and the Android phone app that came with it does not keep asking for updating, like a lot of apps do.
It's convenient to check engine trouble light, let it tell you it's diagnosis of what is wrong in simple terms and then you can use the device to clear the trouble code.
( It doesn't get around smog fails due to engine trouble lights though because of course vehicles have to drive a certain amount of miles before they can be smogged if they've been cleared by a scanner recently.)

This is the one I bought below but it's almost doubled in price since I got mine. Thanks biden.

I'm sure there's probably a cheaper copycat from a company that hasn't been around as long but make sure you don't need to keep updating their app to keep it functioning.

That's not what the title says.

Every tool is indispensable if it is needed to get a task done. Conversely, that tool is not needed if you're not doing that task.
