    hahaha.
OP PM'd me about this so I know what he's looking for and it's not illegal in any way.
    It's just currently unavailable.
Knowing what it is makes it so much more fun to watch everyone who is thinking it's something illegal...

I figured it was legal but can't understand why the OP won't post a picture or tell us what the part is.

Evidently ar15barrels has seen it and says it's not illegal. Perhaps he can shed some light on this. LOL

It is illegal for Randall not to tell us after all that teasing.

I know there's a company in Carlsbad that does it by 3d imaging, etc. But I think you need a good original part. Sorry, I don't know the name of the company.

Nah, AR knows all the details, so he can fix it. If the OP wants to be cryptic, I'm content to let him be cryptic all by himself.

OP "claims" the part is "copyrighted" and "trademarked." I'm fairly certain that "copyrighting" and "trademarking" gun parts is not a thing.

Yep. That part is bull****. Copyrights and trademarks only apply if you sell or give away the parts. If it's for personal use, you can copy anything.

Come on, OP, what are you trying to duplicate?

Randall, you're the hero we need, yet don't deserve.

I erred on the side of caution, because I didn't know if being specific would put Calguns in a bad spot for permitting discussion of some sort of infringement. I'm a firearms enthusiast, not an attorney. For you who added to my understanding of the law, I appreciate you and I'm happy now to say what I'm up to. I'm looking for an SCR strut, the pinned tail portion of the abbreviated Fightlite BCG. However, they never have any, and from what I've heard and experienced their policy is to just ghost calls and emails.

And for the one or two of you who immediately assume bad conduct about others, I said it the first time and meant it: that's dopey.

Whatever it is, get a piece of appropriate steel larger than the part. Remove all steel that is not the part. Heat treat as necessary. For on off you don't need CAD and fancy machines.

Well, that part appears to be quite difficult to duplicate. Frankly, I wouldnt try it and I have Solidworks (CAD), plenty of precision tools, and a lot of skill and talent.

I'd place a standing order with the company and wait. And shoot something else in the meantime.

That would be a part to make using a mold. Print it in 3d and pour, poof, done.

                          Easy peasy.

Note to self. Don't use or buy SCR anything. They will leave you stranded with zero support.

I know someone who was looking to get a few extractors made for a fiala pistol.
Seems that's a wear item on them.
