If you want one part, made from scratch, price can't be a factor. You either need it or you don't. Try machine shops, don't tell them its a gun part if it is not obvious.

Jack First gun parts, who used to be located in California but moved out of state, I think still makes their own in-house gun parts.
The issue is I think they only make parts that they know that will be a high demand item, like screws, pins, firing pins... etc. to a popular firearms because that way they know they'll sell eventually.
You could look them up online and then you give them a call but it's a long shot.

Good luck on your quest and I think if you could give make, model and the part you're looking for there's also a long shot of someone here having it and not needing it.

How come you can't just use the one you have?
If there's something wrong with the one that you have, it's probably MUCH easier to re-work the one that you have than to make another one.

The right way would be forged, then milled, then heat treated.
It's a compound curved part that's got long skinny cross sections which will likely require fixturing during heat treat to keep the part from deforming during quench.

It's definitely one of those parts that machinists say "you want what???" when engineers design the part.

Calling BS and the first two are probably correct. "Don't be a dope" and when you ask for help at least give others good info and not play games which is sure what it seems like. Parts aren't copyrighted except for perhaps the drawing of the design or it's likeness and trademarks don't matter - unless you are trying to make something and then sell it commercially in which case yeah, that is illegal.

For personal use it doesn't matter even if it's patented, you can make one for yourself. The same applies to copyrights, you can make a copy for your own personal use but can't transmit it or otherwise duplicate it for commercial or public display, in essence.

That you still haven't clarified what you're trying to duplicate shows more that the first two are right than anything else. What is the big secret? More likely either the part is illegal or the purpose of the duplication is. You could have cleared it up with a simple description instead of encryption.
