    JB Welding

Which JB Welding could be used to do a cosmetic repair on handgun slide and barrel and can be covered by Cerakote?
Another candidate is Devcon 10760 Titanium Putty
I mean filling a small dent or gap.

    None. It will chip off.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.

Tig, Micro or Laser weld is what you are looking for.
After filling, dress the surface back to flush and Ceracoat.

How about Devcon 10760 Titanium Putty?
Somebody used it for beding riffles and also as a pillar bed in the stock.

Whichever puts the LEAST heat into the part to get the job done quickly.

                It's still just an epoxy.
The vibration of firing will vibrate it loose from the barrel in short order when used to fill a very small scratch/divot.

It works as stock bedding because you have a large amount of it that's mechanically keyed into the stock.

Both are good, Devcon is better but I'm not sure you would want to use them in this application.

Could silver soldering be a low temp alternative to welding?

Just for cosmetic repair at my best effort and then have Cerakote over it.
If the epoxy fails, I would not bother again.

Yes, but you want soft solder as it's more like 500-600 degree working range than actual silver solder that has a 1200-1300 degree working range.
