Building an AR9. Have a spare Wilson Combat TTU. Have heard that it may be unwise to put a performance AR15 drop-in trigger into an AR9. However, if I don't use the WC TTU I'll be using a standard anderson lower parts kit trigger. Advice?

Drop In Trigger Compatibility with AR9

I use HyperFire in mine. No issues. JP makes a drop in trigger for 9MM rigs.
Some drop in trigger can have issues...way back when I tried a Timney and it word have hammer follow.
Some of the problem is the bolt. A lot of the current 9MM bolt’s have the “correct” geometry to work with most AR triggers.
JP, Taccom, etc., claim they will work with most triggers.

The type of hammer on the trigger group and the type of BCG will determine compatibility.
I know that the CMMG 9mm ramped bolt was designed to use a standard mil-spec hammer. Use of a ramped bolt with a less robust hammer like those found in many 2-stage triggers, may break the hammer.
I would check the specifications for the BCG that you will be using to verify the type of hammer recommended.Comment

Hmm, idk about that bcg. It may be great but I've got no experience with them. I can tell you that my faxon 9mm bcg is solid and has functioned without a hitch. I've also heard some dudes run taccom and spinta BCGs with no issues.
You can usually find spinta blem bolts for like $90.
What barrel you plan on using?LAPD CCW Timeline:

I read about issues last yr when I built my PCC. I wanted a JP bolt but I got Taccom 3G BCG to be more compatible with non-JP triggers.
Taccom3G BCG works with
ALG enhanced combo with JPyellow springs
Larue 2S
CMC 3.5# flatty
I haven't tried other MIL spec triggers I have in my drawer, Daniel Defense and regular ALG quality milspec triggerComment

Elftmann makes a cartridge trigger specifically for AR 9mm. Awesome triggers anyway.Comment

Have u considered running the Odin bcg? It looks a lot like the faxon and specs read very similar.
Only reason I ask is that when I was picking parts for my AR9, I read a lot about incompatibility when people started mixing parts and manufacturers. That prompted me to purchase parts from the same company as much as possible to ensure compatibility.
What buffer and spring setup for your build?LAPD CCW Timeline:
