In addition to those mentioned above, I've seen used Black RTV.

I have also seen advertised these options but have no experience with them, they each have a lip that extends somewhat forward to cover/cushion the gap:

The BCM grip also does that and has a closer grip angle to the Magpul K2. It's a little fat for my liking, but many like. Probably just me.

Wrap the offending portion in microfoam surgical medical foam or self-cling stretch medical tape. Then wrap it in electrical tape.
