PITA to put it on, big PITA to put it on right. A gunsmith who knows AKs could probably do it for you.
IMO, the hands-down best ways to put optics on an AK are to get an Ultimak rail (this one should fit the Romy) or the LaRue AK IronDot.sigpicNRA MemberOriginally posted by Deadbolt"We're here to take your land for your safety"

Yes it will work. It has the standard spacing for the AKM rear trunion rivet pattern.http://www.kalinkaoptics.com/detail.aspx?ID=817

In reality they are pretty easy to attach to a receiver. The first rivet fits it to the receiver using the front rivet on the rear trunion. You then align it so it's parallel to the top of the receiver clamp, and drill the other two holes. Then you rivet them up.
If you have experience riveting it's really no big deal.Poke'm with a stick!
