80% builds

So I've been going through threads and not getting a straight answer.

I have a couple 80% builds no #'s yet. Can you still take them out shooting or what? I see people building still but wasn't sure if they are just building and storing or using. I know a few are out of comifornia.

Everything I have is built up featureless so.

Any help would be great as I'm wanting to take my niece who's visiting out shooting so she can have a real idea about firearms and not the views of her liberal dad and his family side.

The way the DOJ is bungling the new AW regs, I can't wait to see how they regulate these new serial number laws..

Ok so I'm good with my featurless AR/AK's or bullet button versions as of now built up from unmarked 80% receivers. Or only featureless good?

How about Bullet button AR pistols they still good or like the glock builds?

Sorry one I haven't been following really close with the family issues and such that have been going on lately and like I said researching after several pages still not sure

No offense OP but posts like this scare the hell out of me, and it's not your fault. The damn laws are so convoluted and confusing, people will go to jail due to ignorance of the law.

No offense taken as I don't like posting this type of stuff. But reading through 100's of pages of threads with all the bickering back and forth.

Yes it's such a gray area but just trying to get a bit more strait to the point info. I know it all depends on what LE interpretation is at the time if stopped,etc.

I'm going to take her out to some BLM land so should be good.

I had my receivers serialized with my info two years ago, I wonder if the doj will accept what I put on them. I went according to their rules but if they don't accept them what the hell do I do then?

My understanding is that if it's already marked per ATF rules you are good to go. Unmarked after law effective date you'll need to apply to the state for a number and mark it in accordance with their rules. This is what I'm functioning on for my featureless guns that won't be registered. I don't know if it would fly on whatever form they come up with for AWs.

Good to go for non registration, the last set of instructions on registering showed that if your receiver was an 80% then you must apply for a state issued number.
The regs left no option for a weapon self built and marked to ATF specs.

That said not of the above means a damn thing until the DOLA approves the regs. and it appears the the DOJ has merely resubmitted the same crap again.

Thats the problem there is no gray area, it very black and white.

we are in a holding pattern until the DOLA approves a set of regulation on registration procedures. Not to mention we have a stay on standard cap mag law,

Do your home work. Quit reading opinions on boards and read the law. That is the only thing that matters.
