The holes where drilled a little of I can almost guarantee you I did the same thing to one of mine my 2 came out very clean. To fix it I forced the slide on which I know you're not supposed to do but did it anyways and wrecked it about 100 times before put in 500 rounds through it and not fix the issue

To the OP, hope you got it resolved. For all the others who are doing one of these, make sure the slide lock lever spring is located under the locking block pin during assembly. You'll notice the slide will stay racked when pulled all the out or it binds up at the last 1/8".

Also make sure the take down spring is completely flush to the frame. Not all frames have the hole deep enough and a small amount of material has to be removed.
