Glock 19 build issues

So I searched for as long as I can tonight after a 12hr shift today, so please forgive me for giving up early!

Building the Polymer 80 Glock 19. I've had this thing apart 3 times trying to make sure I did things correct, and I'm 99% sure I did. I had read about the same issue I'm having but cannot find it again. Everything is together go to put the slide on and it slides back only to the ejector, when I wiggle it around to make it get past the ejector it goes back until it hits the firing pin. Will not rack. I suspect I will have to go to the newer ejector but would like to hear from someone who had the same or similar issues so I can get all the parts I may needs at one time versus one at a time.

I've built up a few of the g17 polymer 80 and I've found that the trigger needs to be pulled forward (fully reset position) when putting the slide on. Once it is broken in, the slide can be put on with the trigger in any position. Not sure if you're having the same issue but worth checking out.

Thank you. That actually did help me get the slide all the way on, now everything is just really tight. I did need to bend the ejector on the trigger housing to clear the back of slide, will probably replace it with a newer style.

Found a You Tube video from Glock USA, they had a Glock 19 build where they had to polish the locking block and rear rail module because there fitment was too tight....may have to attempt this. I've been racking the gun every time I think of it but I think it may need a little more help. Although I haven't shot it yet of course the thing feels real good in my hand, I can't wait to shoot it. I have a Sig P220 that I really, really like but it may have some competition.

I've built up a few of the g17 polymer 80 and I've found that the trigger needs to be pulled forward (fully reset position) when putting the slide on. Once it is broken in, the slide can be put on with the trigger in any position. Not sure if you're having the same issue but worth checking out.

I think this is the cause. My Glock 17 P80 had the same tightness when first put together.

I handled a couple of the P80 compact guns today at a local store. Very nice! Much better then the full size frame. I can't wait to build one.

No they are straight. The locking block is not where it is tight....it's the Rear Rail module. Getting better but may just need a little polishing.

Glock 19 build issues

I understand that the locking block is not the slide to frame binding location.

My experience suggests that due to the misaligned holes from the locking block to the frame, we had to use a C-clamp to align the holes. As a result, the height of the front rail is a little lower than it should be (comparing to the OEM G19 frame) and hence it caused the binding at the rear slide to frame location.

We sanded down the rear rail and it did not help.

I recommended the owner to call Poly80 for another locking block. They noticed the issue and shipped him another locking block immediately. Kudos to Poly80.

After installing the new locking block, the binding was completely gone. We put 100 rounds through it at the range without a single issue.

You may not have the same issue but I just wanted to share my experience to the folks that are interested in the G19 polymer 80.

Just finished my PF940c and the trigger isn't resetting every time I rack the slide. It is a new upper.

I'd suggest checking the trigger assembly, especially the orientation of the trigger spring. The trigger spring might be binding in between the trigger bar the ejector housing.

Test install your slide without recoil spring and barrel. It should slide back and forward with little to no binding. If you used hand drill for your pins. It's more than likely both front and rear rails are slightly canted and you need to file/sand your rails to free up binding issues.
