I have all the parts to build my milled Akm. Should i assemble everything first then get it painted or vise versa? Paint parts first, then assemble everything? Because i also wanted to cerakote my barrel. Im afraid when parts are pressed together, the barrel paint would leave scrape marking.

Do ALL the metal work first.
Then go test fire it and make sure it works properly.
Then remove every part that comes off easily with simple hand tools, degrease, sandblast, clean and paint.Randall Rausch
