Why on earth would you not trim the hammerhead grip instead of ruining the stock?

Cutting A2 stock

The issue with trimming the Hammerhead is at that point it's less well supported legally. A DOJ expert testified that it isn't a pistol grip... but if you modify it, it might become one.
I'd consider picking up an MOE rifle stock.Originally posted by CSACANNONEERA real live woman is more expensive than a fleshlight. Which would you rather have?Comment

Kind of lost track of this thread, but took the little beast out today...
I trimmed a little more and didn't add any material. No noticeable extra noise and I don't think I ruined the stock.....
A couple 5 shot groups at 9/16". The final group (bottom center) was 10 rounds and I measured it at 13/16". Not bad IMO for factory ammo and a monkey at the bang switch. (I gangked the first shot.) Baer certainly did their part!

Probably, but I'm not super thrilled with the hammerhead. If a better option comes along, I'll replace it and sell it. Might be easier to do if the hammerhead is unmodified.Comment

you can do the same with the A2. Rock it till something better comes along and then sel..... oh.Comment

I like the A2. The length is perfect for me. I also didn't want to monkey with Baer's build in any way. If they would have used a carbine length buffer tube, I would have gone with a Thordsen.
I may end up using some JB weld as suggested.Comment
