      Look for a book by Frank deHaas - single shot rifles.
      There are some people that it's just not worth engaging.

      It's a muzzle BRAKE, not a muzzle break. Or is your muzzle tired?

        So the plans i have are for the #1 which I've now contemplated chambering in .38 spec.. I've also transferred the plans to CAD so I can 3D print wax positives and then cast parts in mild steel. Machine them while soft and then case harden. The reciever will most likely start as two side plates and a trunnion in the center to mount the barrel (leaning towards 4140 steel for both).
