    9mm AR mags

Well, I broke down and built a 9mm AR. Used the PSA kit. If I drop a round in the camber the rifle fires and ejects the brass just fine. I bought some ASC 10 round mags from Midway and they don't seem to let the bolt go into battery. The rifle will strip a round from the mag and I just get a click. When I eject the round I see a very light firing pin hit. I did some searching and it appears that this is a problem with the 10 round mags. They just don't let the bolt go into battery. Have any of you, using Colt type magazines, found one that works?

My 10/32 ASC mags run OK in my PSA kit and so does my 10rd ASC mags. But check this thread - it is also discussed on other forums, seems to be a useful mod. I might mod one of my ASC mags this way just to try anyhow.

They work perfect in my Psa 9mm build.

Sounds like the bolt is dragging on the mag. You will need to tune your magazines to work with your upper. Find where it is making contact an go from there.

My Asc 10 rounders all work really well in my Psa build.

IIRC PSA runs a mag block, if so you may need to adjust the block height in order to feed correctly.

I have no experience with the Colt mags, I think they are still a little overpriced. The ProMag mags are junk.

Why not make your own mags out of Uzi mags? Only disadvantage is they won't hold the bolt open on the last round. You can do it with a dremel tool and a small file if you (or a friend) don't have a mill. Another advantage is these mags will still work in your Uzi. Magazine limiter blocks are available from Magazineblocks.com

UZI 10 Round Limiter for 32 round magazines. Easily convert high capacity UZI magazines to 10 rounds.

Heck, they even sell 10/32 Uzi mags and with a few cuts it can be made to fit your AR.

I used C-Products mags at Bill Rodgers Carbine class. Everybody in the class shoots the school's Colt 9mm ARs. They shoot 3000 rounds in a week long class several times a year. I watched 4 guns in my class run perfectly.

C Products has redesigned 9mm AR magazines with new followers and springs to make a once unreliable model extremely dependable.

I got the PSA 9mm kit last Black Friday, while I bought a PSD 80% to use in the final build I currently have the adapter in an Ares Polymer 80 lower
Like others have posted, it runs fine with ASC 10 rounders.
