What kind of matches?
There are action matches at Chabot Gun Club, United Sportman, and Richmond Gun Club. Even Sac.

All three are pretty close. Check out their webpages for safety class info and schedules and then pick a match and have fun. (Chabot does not have a safety class requirement.)

Thanks for that I've been meaning to check out 3 gun comp. what I am mainly interested in is improving pistol performance. So anything pistol will go.
You're pretty much limited to a 1911 though in ca correct?

You are not limited to gun choices. Just mag capacity unless you had them here before y2k.

Chabot 3 Gun is not for first time competitors.

All 3 clubs run pistol matches.
