    Paul is awesome!
Last 4DDHG class I took in March (as the lockdown orders were being announced) was with him as the RM.
I saw him when I was back on property in Sept and he looked great, probably the only person I know who lost weight during the shutdowns.

I enjoy Paul's style because he's constantly reinforcing that this is a defensive handgun shooting course and he adds in small techniques that help reinforce that. He keeps telling me he's ready to retire soon as he's not sure how much longer his knees / hip will hold up but I hope he keeps at it for a while because we'll miss him if he does retire.

    Congrats on the Graduate!
the SB is definitely a faster pace and the test is tougher in the sense that there's no room for interpretation from the Instructors when they're judging lates. The hit is either there or it's not.

Agreed- I appreciated Paul's train like you fight mentality. He called us out often!

We had 2 DG I believe and 11 graduated out of a good size class- 30+.
I may have to do it all again because my wife didn't graduate (sooo close) and I really like shooting with her. I think it is time for some rifle classes too.
I was there a week before you for the 2-day skill builder and had a great time!

Had Angelo again as Range Master. Had him as Range Master back in March when they shut down the state and had to have our 4-day Defensive Handgun class cut down to 2.5days. They still made it super fun and Angelo is an awesome instructor.

Thanks. Can't get enough. Practice all the time and becoming a master of the Type 3 malfunction! I'm consistent when going slow, but start forgetting stuff or getting sloppy when I try to go fast, so I try and drill slow at home. I feel like I get more out of dry fire practicing and just going slow and practicing drawing and pointing in at home.

As someone else said, you should get to Richmond and try either IDPA or USPSA. It will help with your working with the gun outside of your dry fire practice. IDPA is really defensive focused. USPSA is much faster and open. You can check out some video's on YouTube and decide if it's for you. Or, you can go to Richmond on a Sunday when there are matches and see it in person.

The other thought would be to take the Richmond safe handgunner class and you can then shoot their regular Saturday practice sessions. They set up a static line so you can shoot from the holster and shoot pairs or triples or mag dumps as you desire.

It's not FS, but if you have the time (and money for ammo) you can have a lot of fun.

We should get a Calguns trip going! Good job on the progress and keep at it. I do a ton of dry practice, both shooting and malfunctions, to unlearn a lot of the bad habits. I did pick up a small laser bullet thingy that helps me see my jerking, etc. and that seems to help. There is also a free program (shoot off I think) that will link to a webcam and track laser strikes, so that may be fun to try.

I have not had Angelo as RM yet. They are all so different and you learn something from each. It's like trying new food in Pahrump!! Johnny's Taco shop is awesome. We need to find a new place to stay, the Saddle West is just getting jenky and although I like the price, it just isn't comfortable anymore.

Hey all, is the "myfrontsight.com" webpage OK? I went to log in to my account and the virus blocker is saying the webpage is harmful. I'm thinking its my new virus program but wanted to make sure. Thanks,

                      Yup, working fine for me.
I utilize BitDefender which can get aggressive with site security and it didn't flag it at all.

Here is the simpliest explanation of the difference between USPSA and IDPA...

Anyways, here are two video footages. Same person and same gun... Different "sport."

                              Hello all.
I posted a few months ago about my first time to FS for a 4DDHG.
I am going back for the charity course in March and am doing 2 of the 4DTS.
To be honest, I had complete tunnel vision during my initial check in for 4DDHG. My question is how does it work with a shotgun? Obviously I am not just throwing it in a holster and I am good to go. Does it just go back into what ever I carried it up to the table in? Do people just sling it back to the vehicle then re-bag it?
Stupid question and I am kicking myself for not paying more attention but it was a lot to absorb.
                              Thanks
