Is Saddle West still about the same as it's been before (say, around 2012/2014)? Recent TripAdvsior reviews seem to indicate it's been going downhill for the last several years. Best Western was definitely nicer back in the day, I assume this still holds true? I appreciate any recent feedback on lodging. Thanks!
I stayed in a suite at the Best Western in March. I got upgraded to a suite because everyone was cancelling their reservations as it was at the beginning of all the lockdown craziness and I was one of the only people left staying there. In fact, Front Sight got shut down at noon on day 3 of the 4-day Defensive Handgun Course once the Governor shut the state down.

The Best Western was clean and the breakfast was great, but they also shut that down once the Governor shut the state down. Went from a huge spread in the morning to offering coffee, tea and a bowl or oranges!

I'm heading back out in October and this time ended up booking a house on Airbnb. Was actually cheaper than the hotel.

I'd stay away from Saddle West.

Saddle West is half the price of Best Western. It is just a place to store your luggage and sleep a few hours. I always stay at Saddle West as it has a better breakfast than any of the others and is MUCH cheaper. I am not going to there for a romantic getaway, BUT to store luggage and sleep a bit.

I have very little problem with staying at Saddle West when I'm there solo, but I refuse to take my wife there.

For me, the only thing even remotely redeeming about the place is that they make a great made-to-order burger in the restaurant and the price.

only ever stayed there once, upgraded to the suite or whatever it was.
very basic accommodations. As people have said, it's a place to lay your head for a few hours a night but that's really about it.

breakfast every morning wasn't half bad either.

Saddle West, great place to park your camper with full hook up. Bath/toilet house with hot water, quarter showers with good water pressure. RV parking comes with voucher for buffet. I think it was $25/night, price makes it hard to beat. I was going to stay outside FS gate but getting out of dust and running ac in camper was winner

Not the most scenic of trailer parks but lots of folks agree with your assessment.

As a non-smoker, I could not handle the amount of smoke billowing out the front door of Saddle West when I thought I’d check out the food. Remember it’s a Casino and smoking permitted.

Last time I stayed at SW, many of the vehicles (including ours) was broken into. Many at the BW were also hit. So don't leave things in your vehicle.

To give you idea of the thieves, they took our large box of assorted chips from Costco we had for our lunches while leaving the case of beer and ammo we left in the car. Munchies much?

                      I usually stay at W.R.
I usually split the cost of a casita with a buddy.

I saw a headline that Wine Ridge recently lost their liquor license.
not sure if that affects anyone's decision but thought I'd mention it..

Never ate at Symphony as we usually hit our long time standbys in Pahrump. Is the food superior enough to spend that kind of money? Usually after FS classes we feel rather grungy and not up to white table cloth type of dining. BBQ at Q is more in line with the dusty sweaty clothes we’re in.
