Folks,
Pala will be hosting our monthly 3 Gun on Sunday May 8th 2011. We will be shooting 6 multi-gun stages during the match, so bring a little extra ammo. Cost will be $30 for LDF members and $40 for non-LDF members. Sign up will start around 0830 hours and the match will start at 0900 hours. We shoot categories Open, Tactical, Limited and Heavy Metal as well as CA-Legal versions of each category. (Cal Legal is limited to 10 rounds for handgun and rifle and a bullet button on AR-style rifles. This category is designed to allow newer shooters to compete in our match with off list AR10-15 lowers and with 10 round magazines and be in compliance with CA law).
I would suggest bringing 150-200 rounds of rifle ammo, 125 rounds of pistol ammo, 125 rounds of #7-8 shot, 10-15 shotgun slugs and 5-25 #4 buck or 00 buck to the match. We shoot a number of Texas Stars and those nasty MGM spinners with either shotgun or pistol or both, so bring some extra pistol ammo. If the MGM Spinners or Texas Stars are to be shot with the shotgun, the 00 buck or the #4 shot works well on them.
NO STEEL CORE AMMUNITION ALLOWED!
Here is a link for directions to the range.
We use International Multi-Gun Association rules for our 3 gun match. Here is a link for Superstition Mystery Mt 3 gun rules, which are the same ones we use.
The few exceptions we have changed are;
Lead shot up to 00 buck is allowed at Pala 3 gun
We allow up to 00 buck to be used in all shotguns.
We do allow auto shotgun in HM limited as well as pump shotgun in HM optics.
Once the match is completed and scored, you can find the match scores and previous match scores at the LDF website listed below;
Here is a video link for some stages from a previous match at Pala:
LMK if you have any questions. We hope to see you at the range.
