    Hi Gents,

Just had a question on your Advanced rifle class. Being that were in the prk with bullet buttons, how would the class be affected by this? I took a Tactical carbine class with Tigerswan (no offense) in April and it did mess up some of the drills. Some drills required more than 10 rounds, which meant I basically had to pass on the last portion since it was a moving drill. The class description said 8 magazines. How would this work out at burro?

Oh and one of the instructors is nick named babushka? I'm assuming he knows what it means. Thanks.

Go with a featureless build and you can do the drills plus get a lot of practice with your speed reloads!

Was there some reason that you were not able to do speed reloads in the Tigerswan class during the drills (besides the fact that it's slower with a BB)? I've seen guys running BBs in other classes and they just had to reload a lot during drills (and eventually got pretty quick with it... though not as quick as if they had switched to a featureless build).

          Falcon,

I was wondering if you guys plan on doing another pistol I class with a calgunners special. I, unfortunately, missed the June 6th opportunity. Is there any plans to do a calgun special for the tac rifle/carbine I class?

Hello all, as far as the specials go. I will pose the question to the team. Once we come to a conclusion we will post the info on the site (calguns). I am sure we can work something out. But, a rifle course might be a bit tough as a lot more goes into this course. We shall see.

In my opinion the training you get with Falcon is worth the full price of the registration. With the special pricing the instructors and the business itself don't make any profit. However, if they were going to do the calguns special for the tac pistol 1 then maybe 2x a year will be acceptable.

What's the minimum age for someone to attend any of your pistol classes? I have a daughter who's 12.

I have never attended a tactical pistol course with Falcon Security Group.

Since I keep reading such good reviews I'm pondering attending the 2-day Tactical Pistol 2 course out of Burro Canyon Shooting Park in Azusa during the June 26-27th weekend.

I have taken many tactical pistol classes with other reputable outfits in the Los Angeles area: ITTS (Scotty Reitz out of Angeles Shooting Range) and TFTT (Max Joseph out of Burro Canyon Shooting Park).

I understand one needs a Criminal History Clearance Letter which I got about 6 months ago. Would that suffice?

Regarding the Tactical Pistol 2 (TP2) class:

                    Saturday hours: 08:00 – 16:30 Hours
                    Sunday hours: 09:00 – 19:00 Hours

                    Are the daily hours correct?

The fee is $300 for the two days which I can pay in full online or pay a $50 deposit and the balance the first day in cash?

The ammo requirement says 1,200 rounds recommended (600 rounds per day). That seems rather high for a two day course. I don't mind spending for the ammo but why such a high round count? At ITTS and TFTT it's more like 300 rounds per day. If the ammo is put to good training use I'm absolutely all for that.

How many students do you normally have for the TP2 class?

What is the student to instructor ratio?

Any other information you can provide would be appreciated.

Their drills are bloodless battles, and their battles bloody drills.

Observations on a couple points you asked about that may help: for the recent Tac Pistol 1 course, I went thru 500 rounds as stated on the website. There were 4 instructors for 17 students (this may vary with other classes, just stating what actually happened at mine). The published times of 8am-4:30pm were accurate to what occurred.

Falcon Security, I wanted to express interest in a Tactical Medical course sometime when you have enough interest. June 26, I will be out of the country so something later in the summer for me.

Thanks. It's always good to hear about adherence to posted material. Nice instructor to student ratio. How was their adherence to the course syllabus (under the class "Topics covered")? Do you feel like they covered the topics as stated + more?

Their syllabus could use some modifications. Nothing there was not covered, but it is not representative of the amounts of time spent or attention given on the various areas. Not unfairly stated though, all items were covered to some extent.

In looking at the syllabus for TP2, I'd like to see more of one-handed shooting & malfunction clearance.

Tactical Pistol II topics covered are as follows:

Their drills are bloodless battles, and their battles bloody drills.
