Richmond Action shotgun match June 27th

Ok, I know how much fun you all had at the Long gun match on May 23rd.. so now it's time to get good with your scattergun. We had a pretty good showing last year in August for a shotgun only action match.

The match will be 5 stages, varying distances, and we WILL be using at least one Texas Star, at least one Polish plate rack, regular plate racks, plates of various sizes and distances, those annoying pipes, clay target flippers, static clays, maybe some swinging clays, and a few slugs peppered among all of the stages.. and the best part.. only one gun needed.

Match fee is $20 day of match. No advance registration needed. I am looking for a few stage builders/helpers and there are discounts for stepping up and helping. Round count will be in the range of 200-250 shotshells, and up to 15 slugs. No size or velocity restriction on lead shot or slugs. Unfortunately Slugs on steel is still a match DQ. We will have similar rules to last year. Open, Limited, Field guns, and Cowboy. I will be tweaking the rules for field gun a little bit. Rules will be posted later in this thread. Registration starts at 8:45, Shooter's meeting at 9:30 with the match starting soon after. Anything I missed or if you have a question, post here or pm me. Hope you can all make it.

I believe there is a 3 gun training class on Bay 5 on the 26th put on by Chris S, so they will be taking care of Bay 5.

I'm really looking forward to this. I love these 1-gun matches Plus I need to learn to not *miss* things with a shotgun...

              SargenV,

I am willling to commit a few hours of my time the day before a match I am going to shoot, for stage set-up. It seems to be a reasonable service on my part for a match I will be participating in.

Count me in for the match, and count me in for stage set-up for ANY match I will be participating in, in the future.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to play, and to practice with our American-given right!

              In Christ: Raymond
