Recommend a Shot Timer

I know this has been discussed in the past, but there seems to be some newer models on the market.

I'm looking to incorporate time into my personal training and I want to pick up a Shot Timer. $100 is my max. I need something that will work with gloved hands and survive a few drops.

Spend the extra bucks and get the CED.
I have a much bigger one, along with two CEDs... I wouldnt go back.. Louder buzzer, smaller, and so many accessories.
The CED 7000s or somthing like that.

I picked up a CED7000 from a fellow CG member for under $100.

Look around and you should find what you need.

If you have an Iphone use surefire's free shot timer app. I just tried it with an airsoft gun and it works pretty well. It may not be rugged for the range but for practicing my draw stroke at home is works great.

Ditto on the CED 7000 SHOT TIMER!

It is a great tool, and you can also purchase a wrist strap for it.

It also has an adjustable "sound sensitivity," and I can even use it during dry-firing drills if my place is quiet.

Midway is a good place to purchase it, as you can always look around for discount coupons from them via the internet. (Or ask if someone here on Calguns has a discount coupon for you).

One of the best dry fire practice drills I have found is on Matt Burketts page. (CLICK HERE). I can easily spend an hour on this site practicing my draw and dry-firing skills.

Should highlight that the CED7000 has an internal rechargeable battery. Some folks I know who are forgetful about charging have had them die on them at inconvenient times. Otherwise it is a very handy form factor and has lots of features.

I have the 8000 and it works very well.

If you have an Iphone, there is an App made by surefire that is free. If you use electronic earphones with a jack, you can plus it directly in. very very cool...

I just downloaded the free Surefire Shot Timer app and used it at the speed plates at Oak Tree Gun Club. Took awhile to adjust the sensitivity but a great app to use especially since it's free.

I have love how the IPhone App allows you to set a Par time also!
