I don't think anyone is saying that Lena's grip is the best way to go and that everyone should start using her style of gripping the gun. But she has great results for herself using that grip. Willie Mays used to drop his hands way below his belt before taking his swing. Nobody teaches batters to do use the same technique today. But look at how great he was. But he was Willie Mays!

Spoken like someone who believes that all of the top shooters grip the gun the same way. They don't.

No further discussion warranted, you can't form a coherent argument and subsequent sentence. Somehow a world champion shooter in 2023 doesn't know what she's doing because experts in 1956 had poor technique.

Oh, I disagree. Many people here clearly think her grip is far better than anything I can muster.

And I never said she should change her grip. But somehow, you seem to insinuate I did.

So, you dont think her grip is better than yours, and you dont think she should change her grip.
What are you actually saying is the issue with a champion shooter using her grip?
By the way, I dont think anyone is saying her grip is better than anyone elses grip.

I will settle this once and for all...

Below is the grip that you need! Good enough for a shooter to go far in a season of Top Shot!

I am quite sure that it worked for the DEA agent "Bobby" Trench

I remember instructors in the academy telling us in about 1992 or so that high speed film showed that almost everyone using the "hook the offhand trigger finger around the front of the trigger guard" technique were actually shown to disengage/slip that finger off the position with every shot.

This was before I ever heard of youtube and the newest phones had a potato lens for a still camera.

I was not utterly married to the technique, so I stopped using it.

Never really looked back, but now I need to see if I can find video to back up what they claimed.
