DK trigger kit or ZEV trigger kit?

I apologize if this has already been brought up or discussed. But who here has experienced both kits or at least one or the other. Which do you prefer and some pros and con's. I'm debating between the two for my glock 34. The kits only looking at are the DK custom kit vs the zev fulcrum ultimate kit. Thanks in advance.

My apologies if this is in the wrong section. Please move if necessary mods.

I have the DK on my 34 and like it and would buy it again. Do you compete? If you ask around at any USPSA club pretty much everybody will let you pull their trigger. Guys like showing off the gear...

Yes, I'm competing idpa. And I shot horribly with the stock sights and trigger.

There's no magic cure-all. A good shooter can take a stock G34 and hardly slow down at all. And there's a learning curve to take a light, short reset trigger and not get accidental discharges and get sent home.

That being said the stock sights are horrible, and if you search on "25 cent trigger job" it's possible to smooth out the stock trigger quite a bit. So I might put a fiber on the front sight and plain rears. (Dawson's good, TTI's good, probably others I'm forgetting) first and do the trigger after a half dozen matches and a couple of practice sessions once you're settling in a bit.

I know, im just starting out on competing lol. I did great with my 1911 9mm the first match. But I shot terribly with the stock glock. I got Dawson's sight set on order along with a kkm barrel. Im also getting a magwell with a heavy insert from taran tactical. Still debating on which trigger kit I want to go with. I wish I was able to feel both dk and zev. But unfortunately that's not going to happen. I appreciate your input.

Magwell with a weight is a no-no in idpa. KKM is a waste unless you plan on shooting bare lead. I run moly coated through my factory glock barrels without issue. Dawson FO front sight is a great idea.

Those two guys are spot on. The one thing I'd add is that Glock reloads are a lot easier if you get one of those stupid plastic butt plug things so your magazine doesn't catch on anything. $5.

                ?? Butt plug things? Lol.

The kkm barrel is preference. I know it doesn't add any value, but I like the titanium nitride coating on it. The magwell is a slim idpa approved magwell. And I know it'll bump me to esp, which I dont mind. I'm shooting for my self and not trying to become a pro. With that out of the way... I'm torn between the two trigger kits.

You should try USPSA as well. You can use the same gear except you might want more magazines available. No cover issues, no concealment, run the stage in any order you want. The scoring's more complicated but it's basically just how many points per second you earned.

Every Glock I have put a KKM barrel in has seen an accuracy increase. Even if that increase is only 1" at 15y that could mean the difference between an alpha vs a bravo or a zero vs a -1.

Is it going to make a difference on every shot. Hell no. But for shots just outside of the perforation, chances are it will.

So I just tried installing my zev fulcrum trigger kit... Things didn't go as plan. I installed everything properly, but when I go to dry fire it, the striker will not disengage. It's stuck... I tried adjusting the pre/over travel accordingly to no avail. I gave up. My buddy started looking into the connector because there was a lot of play in it... So he decide to take the stock connector and placed it onto the fulcrum trigger and bam!!! It fires and releases the striker... Im at a lost... Im ready to give up on this zev trigger. (Any one want to buy a zev trigger kit? Lol)

I have a zev fulcrum in a glock 34 that my son and I shoot regularly. At least 2000 rounds now and we love it. I have two other Glocks with stock triggers which I have learned to shoot well but not nearly as well as the zev. We never double. I have a very advanced friend that put the tactical ( non adjustable zev) in his Glock 19 and he loves his as well. I have been helping a new buddy to learn to shoot and he likes our Glock 34 better than any of our other guns including quality 1911s. Simple installs for both of us with the zev and no maintenance.

I wish I was able to say the same... followed instructions and tried adjusting bits at a time... still didn't work.
