    Bulge in 357 mag cases

Just purchased a Ruger 77/357 18 inch barrel bolt action, I noticed there is a bulge at the base near the rim and the Lee Bulge Buster will not work on rimmed cartridges.

The brass is G.F.L is this cheap brass or the pressure to high with the longer barrel, I also have a Ruger GP 100 and now the brass won't fit even after resizing, has anyone run into this problem and is there a solution?

Normal in all my 357 Mags, just reload as usual, I've never had an issue from it. I have 2 rifles and 3 revolver. I've never had an issue between guns.
If you want change you have to put in your 2 cents, you can't just sit on the sidelines and whine.

I suspect your rifle chamber is oversize in order to allow reliable feeding from that rotary magazine. A standard sizing die is inadequate. Call Lee and see if he can make you a undersize die. He made me an oversize die for HBWC.

I have had my 77/357 for about three years now, never had a problem with brass.
I reload for this rifle as well as revolvers chambered in 357 mag.
I use a standard RCBS carbide die set I have had for 25 years, sizes them perfect every time for all my guns shooting 357 mag.

On some of the Ruger 77/357 rifles the chamber has too much of a relief cut in it for magazine clearance. I would contact Ruger and see what they can do.

Also, Google "Ruger 77/357 case bulge"

Not as catchy as Glocked brass, but Rugered brass could catch on...

That's terrific but how does your situation help the OP's?

If you read the OP,s post , he asks (has anyone run into this problem and is there a solution)
I simply responded that I have the same rifle and have not had any problems with my brass.
Sorry this does not meet your needs.

I don't think anything can compete with the negative imagery associated with Glock. Germanic ugliness has no equal.

If it's new, immediately contact Ruger. If it's used, look at the chamber with a light, and if it looks OK, see if you can get it checked for headspace. Either way, it will end up at Ruger, because that is not normal.

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

Always a fork in the road here at the ammo and reloading channel.
