Warrior 1, Ammo Bros and the past...

SO in the IE reloading party workshop thread it was stated:

RISR has a large facility with lots of space to hold a class such as this, and they are receptive to the idea. I have spoken with Tom and other employees regarding such a class expressing my interests.

W1 has donated items for giveaways at our monthly shoots and also for the recent SSZS. I find the owners Mike and Norris to be standup guys who care about their business, their customers, and their reputation!

W1 isn't a typical one stop gun shop, they are more of a specialty gun shop and they tend to carry more exotic (read expensive) items than other local shops.

Stilly I know where you used to work and I frequent that shop the most as it is my neighborhood shop, but I also like W1 for what they are. I wish people here would stop spreading negative rumors from secondhand info about any shops!
Now I already replied a lengthy reply in the IE reloading party thread but this does not need to go there because this is off topic for that thread so I will give a shorter response this time.

This morning I had the opportunity to stop in at Warrior One. I was not digging on the W1 stickers on some or the larger things- for the same reason why I will demand that Carmax remove their crap from any vehicle I buy from them.

I think the Pitbull guy is Mike. He asked me SEVERAL times if there was anything he could - ya know what, here is the deal with W1. I do NOT take back ANYTHING that I said about them in the past or about their past. But I give them my support and I am willing to give them a shot at things. They ARE still expensive but I paid $43.xx + tax for a piece that I could have gotten online for $39.xx plus shipping. THAT was the best price I found in their store, but their other small item prices are still hmmm, maybe kinda high, but no higher than Centerfire. I picked up on Mike wanting to help me out and checked up on me several times making sure I was still good or if I had questions. Good for him. I did not see any of the pushiness there but I DID not talk to them very much either. I like that they have a 30% down and a 90 day layaway, but my rifle that I asked about will run me $2000 plus tax and dros, but they would be happy to make it happen for me.

Would I go into their store again? You bet. They had ONE rifle with wood furniture on it and that is because nobody has made a plastic furniture set for a Garand yet. I DO like how they have opened up the place and expanded. They still need to get rid of that wall that blocks the doors a bit but oh well.

My previous score on W1 would have been a 3.7 out of 10 with 10 being best. My new and updated score is going to have to be a 7.6 but only because their prices are a bit higher then other stores. But their higher prices is the ONLY negative thing that I can say bad about them now. Whatever has happened in the past is in the past as far as I am concerned. They seem like decent people though. This is NOT a reloading store though. Sad but true. NOTHING reloading to be sold in here.

THEN I meandered over to Ammo Bros. Still not a reloading store, but they have about as much reloading stuff as all other gun stores in the area. I spoke with Travis for actually, quite a ****ing long time because I let me half N half get warm sitting in my trunk...

Ammo Bros is expanding as many have noted and with expansion comes growing pains. With growing pains comes problems. I only decided to speak with Travis because it was mentioned that they might be looking for some people and since I have been given the implied AXE at my work, I will be looking for employment in several weeks perhaps should I decide to stay with the City and go back to 2 days a week at 10 hours a day. Unless they get off their arse and make me a full time perm guy. SO, I think I can make Ammo Bros my new home should they find me a decent guy. And who would not find me decent I NEVER say or do ANYTHING that irritates people...

But sorry, back to Ammo Bros. They are still getting in their stock and inventory so if anyone goes down there and wants to talk **** then please wait until they get settled, they have not even had their grand opening yet. I think that Ammo Bros can have a good run in Riverside and I think that some more people need to come in and not only look, but ASK about reloading things. Ammo Bros is a blossoming company, but I think their purchasing power and influence is still at the other store. So maybe if everyone was looking for THESE dies, then they might get some in. But only if it is made known to them. I was shocked to see that Ammo Bros does NOT have one thing or enough things it seems in their inventory of employees. I am not going to say what that is but I am going to see if I can help fix it and a few other things and hopefully all will flow nice and we will be able to talk about Ammo Bros being the best in Riverside or the IE for that matter...

one thing is certain though, they are gonna need to fix their parking issue because the way I see it, they are about 30 spaces short of a decent parking lot.

As for Bullseye, well, that store is dynamic and they can order things and change things overnight. BUT- I do not think that when it comes to firearms that they have the best prices anymore. Ammo Bros has beaten Bullseye in the XD-9 Tactical price by $50 AND they beat W1 in my rifle price by $100. Yes, Ammo Bros actually has my rifle hanging on their wall for $1899...

They DO have a 25% down 60 days to pay off layaway where W1 has 30% down/ 90 days. But anyways, I also saw an RMR sight at Ammo Bros for about $25-$50 less then what Bullseye quoted me. What is Ammo Bros secret for their great prices? They buy direct. No distributors for several brands that they carry. That is a good thing for everyone so I wonder if they are going to be expanding their reloading gear.

Oh BTW, Ammo Bros has some 8208 XBR, and some 800-X and I think some 2898 or 3898 something I forgot, but I noticed they had primers and powder as well as their assorted ammo.

Good for them. Both W1 and Ammo Bros get my thumbs up.
7 Billion people on the planet. They aint ALL gonna astronauts. Some will get hit by trains...

I'm confused, why does your opinion of these shops matter?

We need a reloading psychology forum right next to the for sale section.
