The 180s seems to be the choice of most competitive shooters. Some, like myself, have switched to the 200s. Common powders are Wst, Titegroup, and N320. Shot from a STI.

It has been the most accurate load I have used. No failures or cycling issues.
Thats the same recipe I am using in my XD.40

180 and 200 grainers with lower powder loads shoot really soft and enjoyable. I wish i would have started with these loads and not the 155 grainers with higher powder loads. I use xtreme bullets over faster pistol powders

Pay attention to the COL that several guys are giving. The "long loaded" .40 is for 1911 style competition guns and will be unsafe in your glock or xd or whatever.

When it comes to O.A.L., I tend to stick with the published data. Everyone's opinions for their own loads helped out a lot with bullet type, weight, and powder choices. Great job felllas.

I've been meaning to chrono this load, but haven't gotten around to it yet. It's defiantly a "mouse fart" load, but unlike most light loads it is very clean! I've pulled my G-23 apart after 5 or 6 hundred rounds, pulled a bore snake though the barrel, and put it back together, didn't need cleaning, it is a Glock after all. The only problem is my 8lb jug of Hogdgon clays is getting low, and I haven't been able to find any....

                                Been using w231

                                Berrys 155 fp @ 5.2
                                Berrys 180 rn @ 5.0

The 155 and 180 loads are very accurate in a sig 226. the the 180's have more recoil. Haven't chronographed them yet

With the 155 got some flyers at 5.4 & 5.6 groups came back tight at 5.8

With the 180's she was on the $$$ so I kept that load
