The only thing I can think of is the thickness of the brass, less case capacity.

PPU isn't that thick. I'd be curious what the results would be with FLC or Lapua.

BTW, flat primers aren't necessarily bad. In .308, I flatten the **** out of my primers that's what my gun and I like. ~3k through my barrel and counting. I can't see a reason to hold back .308 due to the long barrel life and inexpensive brass, especially since that little cartridge fairs much better with a high velocity so long as you maintain accuracy.

PPU 308 brass runs hot to me too. I don't even load PPU any longer and stick with LC08 that I have in bulk.

FC is a bit thinner than FLC, but it's a bit thicker than PPU. I'd think it would be fine. FGMM uses FC brass.

All looks great
