Faster way to fill cases with powder? Pistol reloading.

I like to fill my cases as a unique step, and inspect all cases... and ive been doing them one by one by one, with a lee powder dispenser. Its slow. A lot.

Id like a faster way to fill cases for pistol. Nothing weird, 9/40/45.

I load light and safe. My setup has me at 0.1gr inaccuracy, maybe 0.2, which is still well within reasonable/safe charges for my powder and bullet combos. If I could bulk load with a variance as high as 0.3gr id be alright with that, but id certainly prefer to be around 0.1.

Is there a multi case dispenser out there? Anyone got something creative? Id like to fill 5-10 cases at a time.

I could also add a dispenser to the expander die, but Im just tossing around ideas to see what else is out there. Thanks!

If you are going to speed up charging why not just buy a progressive press?

Right now, its a space issue. Trying to sort out a really (REALLY) compact stand for my press as-is.

I dont think I understood the pro auto disk setup until I just read more about it. Mods can feel free to close this, I got it sorted!

You might also consider getting the auto bar gizmo which is adjustable instead of using the disks.

Amen. I have a LCT. Bought the 4 hole turret bases for each caliber and that extend thingy for the powder drop on each base. Use 2 regular (not Pro) auto disk with auto bar. It is so convenient. Swap out calibers in 20 seconds or less.

I wish Lee would name their products sensibly. Autodisk? Auto bar?

Get a square b. My dillon press is very compact.

I use both disks and ACB but the charge bar just lets you get the exact charge, while the disks are often close enough. One has to be careful with actual weights, when set below 5.0 grains of moderate to light density powder. Powder choice can be influenced by what measures well.

I just loaded 300 rounds of 7.62X54r on my Dillon 550 using a Quick Measure. I can't say enough good things about this powder measure, it works!!

I collect Military Arms and enjoy shooting in local matches. I also collect older Lever Actions, especially those chambered in odd/old cartridges. If you have a nice old Winchester or Marlin in 25-20, 32-40, 38-55, 40-60, 45-70, etc etc, please PM me and we can work out a deal.

re Autodisk, Volumetric Powder Measure isn't very catchy. It is Auto as opposed to manually weighing each charge.

As far as the bar goes, the [A] stands for Adjustable rather than Auto.

I do the same thing since I Reload all of my rounds on my Lee single stage. Been doing it this way for years. It's slow, but it forces me to take my time and inspect each case.

Find the right lee dipper for your charge. If it's just plinking ammo and not too close to max, dipped loads are quick and fun!

I'd say the Lee auto disk is the way to go. I have one and I'm very satisfied with it. If you get the double disk kit, you can stack two disks and load plinking ammo for your rifles with fairly decent accuracy.
