    Looking for a crono stand

    Hay guys

I purchased a Pro Crono Chronograph recently. My fist crono. I am looking for suggestions for a cost effective stand for it. I have seen some that look like camera tripods. I have seen others that look like wooden saw horses.

Edit: How are you guys transporting your chronographs. How resilient are these things?

    Any suggestions are appreciated.

    Thanks!

I use an older camera Tripod. I haul my chrono & tripod in a long canvas tool bag. Plenty of room.
PS. Be sure to keep a extra set of batteries on hand also when you go to the range.

Just as long as its not too windy a cheap tripod should work. Oh and dont shoot it.

              Konus Tripod

I use a Konus from Optics Planet. This thing is cheap and it works well too.

I could not see spending $$$ for something I may shoot out!

I bought a camera tripod at Goodwill for $5. Works great.

Don't spend big money on a tripod. You will probably shoot the chrono soon anyway!! I am guilty, as is almost everyone I know......get a cheap tripod.

I use an old camera Tripod my dad bought in Japan back in the 70's. I want to say it's a Nikon.

A quality camera tripod will do. The cheap lightweight crap you buy for $20 at Target probably won't hold up to the wind.

I use a cheap camera tripod but often I wrap a couple sandbags around the feet because the wind can and does blow it over. Some weight on the tripod feet keeps it from blowing over.

I jam mine in my old military canvas bag. It holds the chrono, the tripot and all the parts. It is canvas so there is no real padding, but it gives me a nice place to store it and I have a sling on it. They can take a little beating, but not a shot in the face.

If yours has a tripod base, then get a tripod for it.

For those of you that are looking for the Target tripod at $21.99. It's actually marked $35.99 in the stores, then you tell them it's $21.99 on their website and they will take care of the price for you.

As for carrying around the chronograph (tripod has it's own bag), I got this idea from someone on ar15 dot com. Since I have several Pelican and similar style cases lying around, I would use this method. This is his picture. I have a different model but it folds the same.
