How fast can powder coat be pushed?

    Hello all,
I am working up loads for a new .44 mag.
Does anyone have experience with limits of how fast powder coat bullets can be pushed without GC's?

I know its nothing to some of you but these are my first attempt at some not that heavy 200gr cast PC.

I know I'll receive flack for not going with a 240gr or heavier but I just couldn't justify punching holes in paper and sending that much lead down range without reclaiming some.

Last I recall was around 3000 FPS... out of AR.

Not 44 mag, but what is the difference? I think that if you go a tad faster you might need a tad harder alloy that will withstand the pressure. With that said then perhaps all should be okay if that hardness is achieved and then coated pills are used.

BUT then again, we might be rewriting history with the PC.

Suppose that prior BHL was meant for gas checks. Then without gas checks would you need to be harder or softer?

I think outa of .44 mag bhl of 10-15 should be fine, but if you are shooting revolver, let us know. I am sure it will be good.
