look at this factory round...winchester white box at its best!

Not really a reload, but I figured people here would appreciate this one.

So its from Winchester White Box stock, 9mm. There is no powder in it, there is a primer, but it appears there is no "lead" and only the copper jacket was pressed into the brass.

The joys of cheap 9mm factory ammo. I guess thats why we reload right?

Kind of sad, since Winchester is a major supplier of ammunition to the US Military.

I always remind my soldiers that both our weapons and our ammunition was made by the lowest bidder...that's why we have to practice transitions to alternate weapons and remedial action on primary weapons.

You are lucky enough to have accidentally acquired Winchester's new less lethal WWB.

Those usually have a hefty crimp on them. I am wondering if this is early april fools. I have no reason to doubt other than seems pretty far fetched.

After my one and only experience with WWB 45ACP, I swore off WWB forever. I had rounds that even wouldn't chamber my damn pistol. Factory rounds shouldn't be like that in my opinion. Never had issues with Federal, Freedom Munitions, Remington, hell, even PPU. I expected WWB to be up there as far as "quality".

olin does not produce the ammo, lake city does.
also, if that came in the box, I wouldn't trust that whole lot. send it back, or deconstruct for mats.

it was all shot out. other than this round, we didnt have any other "bad" looking rounds or rounds to fail to go off. i hope my friend never buys this stuff again. i told him to start reloading...me being the enabler and all.

I would still inform winchester about it. You could have a recall on that lot plus compensation even if you guys shot through the whole box. Looks like the line had one bummer upside down projectile loaded into that round but it's really odd that no powder is in there as well.
