Single stage user gone progressive.

Any rifle round can be loaded on a D550 as long as the brass prep is done prior to priming charging and seating on the 550. Resize and trim if necessary before loading any bottle neck case.

Got rid of my progressive press and just using SS now. If I was shooting 1,000 rounds a month it would have made an argument for the progressive.

I just got a Dillon square b this weekend and all I have ever used is a RC so I'm new to the game as well.

I was going to get one of those but I reload rifle cartridges also. Can't go wrong with rather one though.

Well I mainly only load 30-06 and 7mm rem mag and only shoot 1-200 max a year of those. So the single stage works fine for that. I was looking at the 550b but wanted auto index. It took some getting used to tho. I am happy that I went with the Dillon tho. High quality stuff. I really only shoot 10mm and 40.

I told my wife I need this so I can have more time with the family instead of out in the shop all night. Now I can load 4 times as much. I still use my RC to de-bulge the brass.

Show her you tube videos of the press you want and she'll see how fast it was and how much more time you will have to do those things around the house she wants done. Worked for me.

Yeah I just ran out of .40 cal projectiles so back to the reloading market.

Same herei like the magtech 40 cal fmj 180gr bullets but not the price. I'm thinking of getting a kkm barrel for my g20 and g27 and start using lead projectiles from bear creek bullets. They are pretty cheap compared to Xtreme bullets.

I think I may go with that 550b in the future(Probably another year or two). 300-500 an hour sounds amazing & I don't think I would need more than that. Since I'm used to a non-quick changing single stage press, I wouldn't plan on buying an extra powder measure, tool head, etc. I tend to just load one caliber per session anyways.

No lol the blue thing is the only thing on my bench that's not green. I wish all of the others were blue tho. I just can't afford it. I am very surprised with the quality of the press.
