    resizing 10mm brass...what is this?

wondering with Lee 40/10mm resizing dies, if others are getting this or if there should be any concern on these.

It looks like the Lee dies are resizing the brass a little small. I measured the case head/web section and the case neck and the case head is within spec, the case neck is a little undersized, which is expected and will not matter since i have to expand them later anyways.

the brass was once fired, and I was told that the brass were shot mainly in glock 20s, and colt delta elites.

I dont see the classic "crescent bulge" that others have gotten with stock glock barrels.

It is the same kind of bulge from glock or an over sized chamber. Put it thru a push-thru die or chuck it if it does fit your chamber properly.

Nothing to be concerned about. If youre shooting that with a tight match grade chamber, maybe. But as huckberry suggested, the pass through die will take care of it.

It's because it's the part of the brass that sits in the shell holder and does not get sized

Yep, the Redding GRX push thru sizing die will solve that ASAP. I have one and it works great. Be sure to do yourself a favor, spend the extra $$$ and get the carbide model.

If you need to deglock it you can get the Lee Factory Crimp Die in 40 cal, remove the guts (top and crimper) and use a resizing ram from any .355-.359 resizer and you should be able to do the same as a GRX carbide for about $30 or less... OH, and if you want to get fancy, you can put a 50 AE shell (cut off the base so it is a tube) inside the die to cover the threads, else use a large straw or piece of paper rolled up or plastic or WHATEVER to cover the threads...

Pretty much all of my 10mm brass looks like that. You can use the GRX die or Bulge Buster to reduce the size at the bottom but I don't think it's really necessary. As long as there aren't any sharp lines at the web area, you're fine.

Yep, I'm getting "that" as well. No problem. Will that re-sized case fit back into your barrel without a problem? If so, you are good to go. I use standard Lee Dies and re-size my cases without a push through type sizing die. My barrels give ample support even at hot loads to not over-expand the case head.

All of my 10mm looks like that, and when I try passing it through my bulge buster, the brass doesn't even touch the die
