then they lower the price
then offer free shipping sale
then raise there price $3 to $5 per 500

they pricing lately changes more than gas prices

and stick it to "the man"!

If they sell less, they will keep competitive pricing.

It might just be a re-hike because they think they can, with more reloaders these days, and the panic?

You've got a scale, right? I only had ~8 124gr in the 1st bag, but I have another 100 to go through, myself.

Sock it to 'em by not buying from them for a while... and check the deal I posted, and a digital scale helps.

That's actually a little weird - their prices have been dropping pretty steadily for a while now (other than the shipping fiasco). I just checked some old orders and 9mm and .45 have gone up a LOT since my last order, and I think the prices yesterday were even lower than what I paid. .223 is still cheaper than the last price I paid and the same as yesterday.

Maybe they'll be sending out coupons or making a big deal about a 10% off on pistol bullets sale for September.

By "use less powder" you mean load using cast data? I generally do that with X-Treme anyway.

I use to use Xtreme but changed to Bayou and SNS (they are pretty interchangeable) and I've found that the coated cast Bayou/SNS use .1 to .2 grain less powder to get the same velocity as Extreme. I know it doesn't sound like much but when you are shooting 1000 rounds a month it adds up quickly. For my 9mm the124gr cost about 6 cents a piece.

I cast my own so should eveyone, kinda relaxing plus my 45's cost about $30 per K

I cast but for some calibers I shoot enough it's just not practical, or they're things like .223 where you pretty much need FMJs.

Xtreme bullets still cost WAAAY less than Montana gold...Just did a quick check and for 45ACP 230gr RN, Xtreme sells $59.33/500 while MG wants $115/500. Thats nearly double the cost! If MG bullets were indeed comparable to Xtreme in cost, I'd definitely grab MG...but not for twice the price and not for weekend plinking.

right around when they raised the prices they switched the free shipping 'sale' for August to on orders over $150 too (vs just any order). Since their emails link to webpages they were able to change it in older emails about the free shipping sale too.

how well do the bullets shoot? I'm thinking about getting a couple thousand at that price. Do they ship reasonably fast? One thing that bugs me about extreme is they take about three weeks to ship
