    Brass tumbler wanted

I'm looking for a brass tumbler/ cleaner that I can buy. Locals are preferred. I live in San Jose and am willing to drive around the South Bay. Thanks for reading.

      Nick,

A few suggestions - you may want to think about picking up one of the sonic cleaners -

Harbor Freight (yes, we have one in San Jose across from Oak Ridge Mall) - has a decent one:

I have one and so far, so good.

Also, you may think about one from Hornady:

I think there have been cleaning recipes posted to this forum.

I've seen posts where guys have a coffee can with corn cob media and brass in their truck beds and by the end of the day, it's clean. So, there are a plethora of ways to clean your brass.

I got this one from Harbor Freight when I received a 20% off coupon in the mail. http://www.harborfreight.com/5-lb-me...ler-67617.html

Filled it up with crushed walnut Reptile bedding from Pet Smart and it works great.

ALL WTB/WTT/WTS ADS (that is what THIS post is) BELONG IN THE MARKETPLACE, NOT IN THE DISCUSSION FORUM.

          Yes. I yelled that.

With that said though, go look on ebay. That is where I got mine and they have a lot of thumlers go through there AS WELL as home made units that are just as good or better and they will cost just as much (or less or more). I know you want to do ftf/otc but mail order is your friend many times on pieces like this.

Read the rules of the forums and post your requests in the appropriate spots please. You almost got info-overload... I feel that this does not warrant an infographic response,

Cement mixers are for those too cheap to buy real tumblers. I've got this one that I'm thinking about selling:

It'll do 500 pieces of 50BMG at one time. Probably about 5000 pieces of .45acp or 6500 pieces of 9mm.

              Utah CCW Instructor

Does it also come with the aluminum extension ladder, hot tub and fire extinguisher?

It would make sense that the ladder is needed to load things in the top, the spa to wash all that brass out and the fire extinguisher in case it heats up surrounding items... :O OR you can use it to chill the snakes you find in the spa or container upon picking them up...

You should include a can of spray paint so that that nasty blue color can be painted red or gray or orange or green or ANY color but light blue...

I got the Harbor Freight tumbler when my small Lyman stopped working. The HF vibrates a lot more vigorously than the Lyman did. Works well for small batches and takes about half the time for good results.

Wow - that is great! I will look for that the next time I am there.

For those of you that are new to HF - bring your coupons with you as the clerks will look at you like a blue crab you just thew down on the beach when you say you have a coupon, but you don't have it with you. You can bring it up on your portable communications device; but they will ask you to step aside until you can find it.

                    I bought this from PVI:
                    ME-PLNCO50 Crushed Walnut - Plain (coarse) - 50 LB. Yes $28.00

Not bad and should last a while.

Don't rush this. Let it tumble on it's own for 5-15 minutes before adding brass.
