So I was bored one day at work and I thought I would start entering in all of my reloading stuff that I had.
I wanted to see what I was more of, red or green or what. But then I wanted to see if I could connect what I had, and for the most part I could, but it aint a perfect connection.
So anyways, once you get into reloading you get you start getting all kinds of stuff. It would be nice to have an inventory of your tools and what not but there are ALWAYS things that get left out. So over a period of about 3 months, once or twice a week for about an hour I played on my laptop at work.
This is what I came up with, well, the core diagram was what I came up with and since I am practicing with infographics I thought that I would put together an infographic of my own...
I aint sure what all it shows, except the things that you can do and the configurations you can have, but it looks weird and I made it.
This is ONLY version 1.0 The next version will be started in Visio and exported to photoshop for coloring and a theme will be followed.
The original was huge, but this is about half the size. Click on it for the full pic.
I need to change the .223 X-die to a .308 X-die and add my PC setup including toaster oven and nonstick foil + hemostats... :\
This is phase 1.
Phase 2 will be a possible html page where this sits and then you can hover over things and get information, as well as click on certain links and get a total cost of what it cost me at the time as well as links to places that sell the stuff (and key word searches).
Phase 3 will be a fully contained and programmed APP that runs on a database or SQL that ANYONE can punch in their own items and choose the brands and it will generate a tree for them complete with all info that they put into it. This will be my first fully functional program and since it will be a relational database I will want to make it usable for different purposes like record keeping, insurance reporting/claims, and just basic inventory tracking kinda like Quick load or Gun Collector, but with a generatable tree. (So do not expect it to pop up in 3 months). In all honesty I do not know if it will ever make it to phase three. This is only a brain fart or one of those fluttering ideas that fly in and out of my head and last for a few seconds (like the time I was going to slide down the roof of my parents' house on an unfolded fridge box and then "flap" the sides like a bird and fly around once I got to the edge or the time that I was going to climb up into the trees and put in a system of zip lines so that I could throw my pellet gun across my back and zip around the front and back yards hunting pigeons like a boss...). Phase 2 will most likely happen once I find an easy way to make it happen or use Visio and see what it can do (or a better drawing program that can export) and phase three MIGHT happen if I get employed but if I get employed as an analyst or something computer related so that I am encouraged to bring my beefed up Dell to work and work on it some more. Then I can maybe see me going down the programmer/coder path with it... Or maybe these too are fleeting ideas...
