    9mm Bullet Weight

I'm new to reloading 9mm. What weight bullets should I get?

I was thinking to pickup some 147 Hornady Hollow Points
But I'll eventually buying bulk bullets like Berrys so should I stick with something lighter?

    Suggestions?

    I'll be Loading for a VP9.

For general plinking/target shooting, go with 115gr or 124gr. If you're interested in shooting copper plated bullets, check out X-treme bullets. They make the best plated bullets that I've tried so far.

Anything in particular for plinking? what does the concave base or heavy help with?

      Maybe some SWCs?

9mm 115gr RN X-Treme plated bullets are great!
Quality stuff at a good price.

I like the 147s because for competition I have to meet a minimum power factor blah blah blah.

For general use, you know, it doesn't really matter. Either try some of each and see if you like one better than the others or get whatever's cheapest. If they're the same price split the difference and get the 124s.

It was designed with 124 gr bullet, so that's what I shoot.

I feed my 9mm's 115 or 124 grainers. Whichever is cheaper in bulk. Try 'em all and see what you or the pistol likes. I would only load 147grainers if that is what my carry load would be only to replicate the recoil.

Xtreme are the best unless you want to go PC. In which case, Xtreme are pretty good, but see if you can get them with no lube and sized to .356 (I think .356 is 9mm) Then PC them yourself.
