help with RCBS dies

Hello I am new to reloading and I am starting to buy all my stuff
My question is I purchased a set of rcbs dies part #34201 the box says 7 mm TCS I am trying to reload for my 7 mm remingthon did I get the wrong set of dies

If you want "7MM Remington Magnum", NOT 7MM Ultra Mag, you want RCBS die #13601. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/400...mington-magnum

There are a lot of 7MM cartridges out there and it can get confusing.

I think you did. TCS is something different. But have a look at them anyways. I would double check your dies two-three times before pulling the trigger on a purchase.

I can say this much for certain. Call, or email RCBS tech support. Actually ... call them. They will help you out over the phone for sure!

They will also mail out the correct dies to you right there on the spot. They will trust that you will mail to them the dies you already have.

Buy a couple of books on reloading and read them before you buy equipment. Doing so will keep you from making costly, possibly deadly mistakes.

Starting a library is the first thing to do! When they had paper catalogs back in the old days, those were great. You could sit on the throne and try to figure out what all that stuff was and whether you needed it. Electronic catalogs really suck by comparison...

Op the dies you purchased are for a Thompson Contender pistol, those will not work for 7mm Remington Magnum. I would try calling RCBS and explaining the mix up, who knows they might swap your dies.

Thank you all for your great feedback I guess I forgot to mention I bought the dies at a gun show used I am almost done getting all my equipment
I am starting with a single stage press first hornady classic I would like to take a reloading class or join a club but I think the long beach one is the closet to me I live in Downey .
