I am not sure what you are asking here.

Are you asking for advice on getting a NEW digital scale?

If so then look at this instead: http://www.amazon.com/American-Weigh...eigh+gemini+20

It is the only digital scale that I use for reloading.

    IN OTHER WORDS

I would not look at anything else. - EVER again.

I use a cheapie Frankford Arsenal scale, it's battery powered though. I just use rechargeable batteries for it and it works fine. Make sure you get one that can do grains, otherwise you'll be calculating grams to grains.

Then that scale is an excellent scale to use. 10 year warranty, runs on two AAA batteries and they last for months it seems. PLUS it has a blue backlit screen. Very sensitive, measures in miligrams so you get like .02 readouts in grains. So now you will know 4.5 (old) or 4.58gr of powder...

There are a LOT of people that are using this scale. I am preaching it after someone turned me on to it here several years ago. There are some others that are just as good, but they are about $20+ more in price.

Battery power is better than fluctuating household current. So, using a battery power balance is going to remove a few of the potential problems with electronic balances right off the bat.
