Ok folks, follow up range day.

    Either #1:
The bullet flights were not as extreme on day #2 for reasons unknown to the universe or...
    #2:
Apologies, likely from the surprise of what was going on, the 12-18" estimate was a bit too wild. Swings looked more like 4-6" in the same flight. However, I do swear the swings were not as crazy with the platform we chose to record. Pressing on.

We attempted WWB in both 9mm and .40 for ammo differentiation, but obtained no visual feedback due to the FMJ and not TMJ. We assumed grainage did not matter within 9mm nor with the .40 cal via spot checking, thus the following video was shot with the .40 to it would show better. Firearm used is the .40 shield.

Shots #1 and 3 waiver mid flight, whereas shots #2 and #4 are what we considered 'expected'

We also took a DSLR and used a longer exposure to capture the flight trail in motion. We're sifting through those still and will post the ones we feel are most unexplained -- warning, they're not as exciting as a video :<.

Yeah that makes sense. Bullets run on smoke. When you pull the trigger your bullets get charged with smoke and then they take off when they are full. Then they discharge the smoke on the way down range and then sometimes because they are spinning, the smoke gets flung in different directions and it LOOKS like it is corkscrewing... Yeah Yeah...

Seems legit. Glad we got to the bottom of that. Close and lock the thread please...

I see nothing out of the ordinary. The bullets are moving along the trajectory you'd expect. I am not seeing "wild oscillations".

stilly, if you fill the thread up with your informational material, I am sure you can get it locked.

The bullet is still moving just as Carcassone has posted a picture of.It is corkscrewing all the way to the target.
The reason it may look smaller now is the weight of the bullet fired has changed or the amount of time it took to dissipate/wind has changed.
